Tower hamlets cemetery

By MarvKoon
This cemetery is in the London east end. The picture was taken in the spring. I slightly desaturated it. Thanks for watching!

Hi Marvin.
the basis of a very good shot, I like the differential focus and the slightly desaturated poppies.

What is distracting is the bright sky area top left. I have posted a modification that removes some of the sky and then tones it down a little. I have also cloned out some annoying high lights top right.

Hope you like it

Ken.

I'm with Ken.
My first thought was that the sky could do with being replaced but it wouldn't be easy, if at all possible.
My second thought was that you would have got a better result perhaps if you'd taken the shot from farther to the left and used those trees as a background. Always assuming you could have of course.
I like it though.

I really like this. Mainly for the deep association that exists in the minds of Western people between the Poppy, war and the dead. This for me connects with this, though it might not have been intentional.

All the above are good comments, - the sky does intrude to some extent, but there a good shot there at the same time, Ive tried a number of mods, and though the toned mono is suited, Im happiest with Mod3. Its fli[[ed, has c rop from the top and the side, and has a number of art filters applied. The main changes in mod1 are colour balance and sharpening, 2 in the toned mono.
