Wonderful light in this one Nev!!

There is so much interest in the shot. My eyes wandered around all the characters and settling back on the horses eye which caught the light as well.

    Love it!

V1 for me, a cracking image indeed.

I must admit I don't like your choice of frame for it, as someone els mentioned it is a bit distracting. Also the wooden pontoon ( or whatever you call it...Smile) is a nice lead in and deserves to catch the eye more. So I would be tempted to give it a very subtle lift by dodging with a very soft brush or creating a duplicater layer and giving the shadows a slight boost via curves for example and then blending it through.

    Great shots though Dave!

    Cheers

A simply awesome shot! The movement, muscle and sinew of the horse captured is brilliant! Also the DOF for me is perfect with the slightly out of focus background. Contrast is great and conversion to b&w.....love it!

At this point around 100 people have viewed this photo and not voted for it....sometimes I struggle to understand this site...ah well...Smile

I know I am being a bit contentious but if there are people out there that don't like this image enough to vote for it could they add a few comments as to why?

    Cheers

Great composition and timing for the shot. It just needed the light to make this special, but you can only go with what you are given when there.

    Good shot though.

Thanks for the comments you two...Smile

I didn't think it would bomb to just 8 votes but there you go!

    Hi Mike,

I did take a landscape as well but won't be posting it here. I have developed a lack of enthusiasm...Smile

    Andy,

I often stop by here to browse your PF. As many have already said it is a cracking set of images so I thought it was about time posted a comment.

    Hi Nick,

It seems to me that the amount of votes that an image gets on EPZ is a really good barometer and you would'nt need to plot a graph to work out the direction your images have been going...Smile

A cracking PF Nick and I hope that I go in a similar direction this year...Smile

    Cheers

    Gary,

I am a Newbie to this site but just wanted to say how much your images have blown me away!!!

Great work, I have been back to your pf about five times now just to go over the same images. My eyes can't get enough of them...Smile

Although it is certainly not the only thing that is great about your shots, I am mesmerised by the sharpness of your foregrounds. Do you spend a fair bit of time on this PP or is a lot of it in camera through your 17 - 40 lens??

    Anyway brilliant stuff....Smile

    Hey Fran,

Thanks for welcoming me as a Newbie recently, and when I opened this months copy of PM I thought hang on isn't that the lady on EPZ. So when I saw your squizzle shot I knew it was you...Smile

Well done and I enjoyed your pf too, particularly your coastal work (I am a sucker for the coast!)

    Cheers
