Simply Honeysuckle

By MattB1987
Well tonight I was a bit bored but didn't get a chance to take any photos so I thought I would have a little play on photoshop and see what I come up with. I took this photo ages ago and never done anything with it so I thought I would have a go at being creative with it. I overlaid a few textures over the top and softened it a bit to give it an 'oldie' sort of feel.

Anyway I thought I would share the photo with you guys considering the photo month topic today was indoor flower photography. So let me know what you think, all opinions good and bad will be well received and appreciated.

Thanks for looking!

Matt

Only good opinion from me. The pleasure of beauty and simplicity so well composed, [looking into the frame]. Reflections in the glass and lighting. Perfect! TG

A beautiful piece of art and photography combined.
The dark textured b/g works well.

One of the problems with textured layers is trying to avoid a feeling of floating.
I haven't a magical answer to that, but its worth considering masking each layer and blending with the base of the vase and the surface to retain a hint of shadow where the vase sits on it.
Lovely work with a beautiful flower SmileSmile
