What I'm doing12/06/2008 - 4:00 PM
I'm busy reviewing some compacts at the moment, I have three Nikon's in the pipeline and an Olympus for you all to take a look at.
I'm near the top of the list for the Canon EOS 1000D when it's available so keep an eye out for it, but I've been told that supplies will be seeping through mid July.
We've recently changed the format of the reviews section which throws the images around a bit and I think it makes them a bit more interesting to read with the relevant images sat next to the text. Let me know how you think it works, whether you like it this new way or the old way.
I'm also thinking of placing a verdict summary at the top of the page to help you reading the whole thing before realising that it's not for you.
I'm also interested in whether you think certain areas of reviews are necessary. I've been toying with the idea for a while now of getting rid of the noise test on digital compacts and leave them on prosumer and above. What do you think? Does someone looking to spend a couple of hundred quid on a point and shoot need to know the ISO tolerances? I don't think so. I'll still include high ISO shots, but not a full test, maybe.
I'd like to know what you think of my .tv reviews and where you think I could improve on them. Make sure you look at the Canon EOS 450D review first as this is the most recent and best in terms of pace, technical coverage and post production.
