Wow.......this really does work....I love it! Sadness, deep thought, empathy, provocative......works on all levels. The mono conversion makes this work too....beautifully thought out Paola and very well done. Nice light too. Clever use of the position to get the reflection just deep enought to let us see what is going on, but clouded enough to not reveal too much of yourself. A really good image. Like this one a lot!

Lighting is great and sets of the bracelet detail well. I love the reflection, it seems as if you both outside and in.

The reflected face is so haunting, partly because the double glazing creates different layers. Really beautiful.

This is intriguing. It asks us to think very hard about what we are actually seeing and understanding. Excellent.

The more I look, the better I understand. You have thought and planned the photograph exceptionally well; the verse is a perfect match. Technically there are flaws: the dark spot on the curtain is a small distraction. But that really is not important. The image conveys huge emotion, real soul-searching (the title is perfect)while the verse also looks to the future with guarded optimism.
One of those occasions where there is far more to the picture than appears on the screen, and easily my Photo of the Week!

With best wishes,
Bill
