I understand some of that but some, I don't. If the bannister wasn't there, what would you rather see, a plain studio wall or something else?
I have had comments about backgrounds before but they are natural, most things you look at have something behind them so it sort of puzzles me.
I can't work out what you are saying about the leg though- 27 Jan 2011 7:19PM

It does it all for you, cracking lens, I love it. Goes to f1.4 but then you lose most of the image as the DOF is shockingly narrow, an eye can be sharp but the lash completely out of focus. Would certainly recommend it to any Nikon users, although it is a bit pricey.

Forgive me for arguing against the above comments but the cropping is what makes this, in my opinion and the model too. The tightness of the crop, which is as shot, gives it far more impact. The rogue foot, if not there would leave a void and adds to the provocativeness of the dress.
OK, I probably won't win tis one, but I certainly wouldn't alter the crop, or, if I was to, it would be to include a tiny bit more on the left of the image to catch the stocking top on the other leg- 26 Nov 2010 6:41PM

The selective colouring of the petals was to just give it the ultimate ewwwww factor. It was fun to shoot, I wasn't sober either.
Thank you for the comments
