Wairaka

Statue of the Lady on the Rock at Whakatane heads in NZ.

The statue was made in honour of a young Maori woman called Wairaka who saved a canoe (waka) of women & children from being washed out to sea many years ago when the Maori people were first settling on New Zealand

Hey this is pretty cool. Reminds me of Chinaman's Hat in Oaha, Hawaii. Nice touch to this shot.
