Moody moorland

By Maxtours
On our way home late yesterday after a morning of heavy snow, we stopped on the moortops on the Woodhead Pass to capture the lovely clouds - I was trying out my new camera without having read any of the manual, just based on what I can remember from my recent use of a D90. I'm a bit inexperienced in snow scenes and low light photos - but overall I do really like the clouds and the effect. Any help/comments/tips much appreciated!

I like this, the colours are lovely and the scene beautiful. An idea might be to try cropping the bottom of the image to just underneath the stone wall, to remove the uneven fencing and add a solid line to the image, which might accentuate further the rolling hills behind. This is just an idea though, the image as it is is lovely.
