Miss Teen British Isles Pageant

By maytownme
Something completely differant than my usual uploads. I was asked to do a portfolio of shots for a Miss Teen British Isles Pageant.

First time I used off Camera Lighting and reflectors. She wanted a mix of casual and formal style shots so I used two separate locations. It was great fun and I learned so much about lighting from this experience.

You can find the rest of the shots on my site -

Thanks for looking, Danny.

This would have been really improved, by adjusting your viewpoint or lens, to avoid the grey wall on the left.

Probably a slightly higher light, too, to avoid the shadow being cast on her eye, and help push the shadow above her head down a little.

Thanks Chris for the info. Yeah I did learn a great deal from this session and will work on it for the future.

Hi Danny, yeah the shadow from her nose is very obvious and distracting, the one behind her head not so.
If you're into studio lighting and portraits, have a look at http://www.belfastexposed.org/ - i have done the basic course which was very informative.
Hope this is of use,

Sean.

You've captured her beauty. Very nice portrait.
