I'm trying to do some wildlife stuff at the moment, so I went to a local nature reserve and set up near a bird feeder. It was a bit of quick adjustment (hence the leaf litter in the forground) But a familly of rats were just helping them selves to what ever fell on the floor....
Arn't rats suposed to be ugly and nasty?

Rats are perfectly nice creatures in the right place - a bit like us really!

I have never found rats ugly or nasty! My daughter had two as pets. They are affectionate and intelligent (they would come when called and actually follow her up the stairs - you can't say that about a gerbil!). The only downside to a rat is they are continuously weeing, if they could only keep it in and deposit it in a corner somewhere they would be the perfect pet!

You've caught this one brilliantly, not often they are seen in broad daylight as relaxed as this!
