Leeds and beyond...

By mcgannc
Managed to get up on the roof of work yesterday. Thought this scene could probably work well using hdr software, so tried out HDR Machine (had tried efex pro 2 but it kept crashing!), and although the effect is quite strong, I think it suits...what are your thoughts??

Cheers,
Chris

You will have to get me up on that roof, ChrisWink
Great viewpoint, well captured with bags of detail.
I think I may have found a Malham shot that I could upload. It has taken some time as I have been messing with luminosity masks.

Cheers meniko - very flattering!

Thanks Phil, it wasn't great up there to be honest...think Ade has cornered the best roof on the Headrow! Look forward to seeing what you've got from Malham Smile

it's taken at that wierd "not dark/not light" stage of the day where the colour temp is a real mixture. I find that ones taken a bit later - where the ambient becomes less powerful - work better. Just cause you don't get that wierd cool blue feel coming out.

the problem there is the cold - when it gets proper dark, you'll freeze Wink

nice to see this different angle though

Yep...know that feeling Ade! Got a couple of warmer ones still to process as I did stay up there until it went dark and I could no longer feel my hands Smile
