My First Attempt

My first attempt at focus stacking.

Some stats

Single dull window lighting on a rainy Sunday
Lots of patience
18 images
2mm focus separation between the images
ISO 200
Each Image was about 20-25 secs @ f9
Assembled in CombineZM for a resultant DoF of approx 35mm at macro distances

Focus stacking is a digital image processing technique which combines multiple images taken at different focus distances to give a resulting single image with a much greater depth of field (DOF) than any of the individual source images.

I don't understand the text but whatever photo stacking is this first attempt is superb..a wonderful macro image.

I tried with a woodlouse the other day, but it didn't quite work. It kept getting up and walking away! Well done, much better than my efforts.
