Like how the wide angle lens has lengthened the bike. Great shot

Enters quietly from stage right, limping slightly as a result of Koen falling over him yesterday .....

Excellent shot Koen, but IMO my crop in the mods is better.

excellent....agree mith Dave....his crop works reaaly good....
19 Dec 2006 12:41PM
well, (shuffling feet and feeling rather uncomfortable) it does work rather well with his tight crop.
Put up a slightly wider version as well in the mod section

How's the work done on the background btw ?
19 Dec 2006 1:00PM
VERY, VERY GOOD. I like the sinister look of the picture. I like both versions with the different cropping although I think this one looks a little more balance. Alejandro.

What background work? If you've blurred it then you've done a pretty good job as it looks totally natural to me. Or was this shot taken in a field and you've added in the gritty urban backdrop? In which case you've also made a good job of it.

stunning shot, nicely composed, good feeling of movement, and works well in b&w

19 Dec 2006 1:11PM
The blur and grain are added in PS Dave. This is an older photo, and always liked it but always hated the all-sharp bg.

This is awesome mate, very sinsister. The bg looks great too, and for me both crops work. Very strong image.

Strange one this one... gets loooooads of views and aparently loooooads of people don't like it at all, where as the few that do like it seem to like it a lot. hmmmm...

Thanks peeps :o)

Fantastic image mate I just love the perspective and the background is spot on. I prefer this crop to the modified ones but also think that your other crop works in a strange way but makes the biker look "un real" ????

I have seen a scene like this in Holsworthy once but the biker looked like an ape and the bike was far more Rad' in my OP ;0)
He knows who he is lol!

Is Holsworthy on the border between Devon & Cornwall by any chance ?

That use of the front fork as a diagonal is masterful, and the grain and movement are the finishing touches. How anyone can control these things, however, is beyond me! Smile

huh! not bad, they look scarry to me ;/
I like it very much, nice capture

PS. Tomorrow You`ll see coffee shot Smile

What an amazing shot! Actually I like the crop as it is. There needs to be a little room in the direction of movement or things start feeling cramped. It is that way with anything. Would you take a shot of a bird in flight moving to the right and then position the bird near the right side edge of the frame? No!

Wasn't quite the shot I was expecting from the thumbnail (ie the face). Like the comp as it is I think.
Hope you're well Smile

This gives me the creeps. There's a lot going on here in terms of bad vibes --- although the biker may of course be mama's sweet little boy who never harmed anyone in his life. Glad to make this 30 and RC. DaveU's crop gives me even slightly stronger creeps -- probably because there's less room to escape in his crop. Well shot Koen, well seen Dave. Best regards, Bert
