i may repost this on another day, fixing the perspective a bit and with a different crop, just to get some feedback. i haven't messed with the saturation, this was the exact capture, only bumped up the levels a bit, so maybe i'll take down the saturation and change the colour settings, see if it calms it down a bit.
any more suggestions very very welcome

thanks for the comment sarah. that's the way the sunlight fell on her, i haven't adjusted the light in any way. maybe i can go into photoshop and adjust the levels but i don't want to make the rest of the picture too dark.
