Cracking shot. The water is just stunning, and the added moon is a great bonus.

Beautifully accomplished, Melanie. The long exposure has helped to emphasise the hard solidity of the lighthouse in the middle of all that dramatic, natural movement.

I think this is fabulous. Composition is spot on and your choice of long eposure has given it a dynamic and atmosphere which makes it different from anything I've seen on here before.
Superb Smile

Im guessing the sky is a different layer to the long exposure motion slickness of the sea...?

Great shot, processing and composition.

Many, many thanks to all of you on your response to Moonshine.
Special thanks to Keith, Rob, Paul, Iain and Gary for their user awards.
The evening at Fanad Head ended the most exhilarating day of photography I can remember.
Battling the 60mph gusts of wind made it challenging but, oh so memorable!

Great shot, processing and composition.

In answer Mark's comment, the sky is not a different layer. The wind had whipped up the surf to such an extent that the water always going to look something akin to a snowfield. If I'd had the foresight I'd have done a separate exposure for the moon to keep in the detail. I might remember next time Smile

Lovely warming shot, this place holds a wee place in my heart as my now wife used to have a holiday home just down the road from there and I spent many a great summer and winter down at Fanad.

I am speechless! Perhaps I am in awe. There is none better. You have stepped beyond the ordinary into the realm of the extraordinary. Your talent continues to grow. It is as if within you there is a different world, which us mere morals cannot see.

The depth to this image is remarkable. By this I mean the emotional depth - I feel that the sea is like a bottomless pit you can sink into whilst the land and moon transfixes you and suggests you should stay in this world as its beauty is beyond compare. Extraordinary indeed.
