Desert pyramids

By melbrackstone
Another view of the tank traps from Stockton bight, north of Newcastle, New South Wales.
These sand dunes are 25km long, and shift constantly, so the rest of the traps that were placed during World War II are all covered. These few are in a valley that is constantly shifting because of the wind, so we are lucky enough to be able to see them still. There's no telling how long they will be above the sand level.

Another lovely shot from Stockton Beach - I have been to this beach, it is quite spectacular. Thank you for telling me about this site - I uploaded my first photo yesterday (Yellow Renuncula https://www.ephotozine.com/gallery/showlargepic.cfm?photoid=362997 ) and already it has had 41 'clicks'. I uploaded the 'Lavender Field' https://www.ephotozine.com/gallery/showlargepic.cfm?photoid=363792 a couple of hours ago and it has already had 6 'clicks'.

Once again, thanks for telling me about the site!!!
