Oberthur's Grizzled Skipper - Pyrgus armoricanus

By Mendipman
Taken in the early morning near Val de Cantobre in the Cevennes national park, France.

Another new one for the list. I had seen a couple of other skipper species the day before but was unable to find them, so this was nice surprise, though my first thought at the time was 'a grizzled skipper in August!'

Many thanks for the votes and comments on the previous upload of the Overfly and especially to Alan Baseley for your valued user award, so very much appreciated. Grin

A fabulous close up of this pretty little butterfly, it looks very much like the grizzled skipper in appearance
