Small Skipper - Thymelicus sylvestris

By Mendipman
My first Small Skipper of the year at Priddy last Wednesday, in fact there were dozens of them and they seemed to like to roost in small clusters so I did have quite a choice when it came to deciding which one to photograph.

This one just happened to be in the right position against a partial backdrop of Thyme that is in flower, as well as the sparkly antennae!

Best viewed very large!

Many thanks for the votes and comments on the previous upload of the Five-spot Burnet Moth and especially to Len (Len1950), Ade (ade123) and Pamela (pamelajean) for their User Awards, all so very much appreciated. GrinGrinGrinGrinGrin

A brilliant Macro Heath. Well deserved for the early start but always the best time of the day in the summer
