Taken in the early morning at Waldegrave pool on the Mendips in Somerset.
A caveat on the Id though, I think this is an Azure Damselfly, they are common at this site but with all the dew it was difficult to confirm the id in the usual way.
This is a 66 shot focus stack processed in Zerene stacker using both PMax and DMap methods. There would have been more shots in the sequence but as is often the case, the damselfly moved. I did attempt further stacks to see if I could complete the sequence but by this time the damselfly was becoming too active.
On review I found there were enough images to get all the important parts I wanted in focus and with some basic processing to lift the colour and contrast and a small crop to improve the visual impact, I was quite pleased with the end result.
Many thanks for all the comments and votes on the previous upload and especially to Ali63 and Alan_Baseley for the user awards, so much appreciated.
