Long Shadows

By jeanie
Spent a very unseasonally sunny and warm day over in Malham yesterday with The Rug. It had not been my intention to stay there all day, but it was so nice there that I decided my other plans could wait for another day.

This image appealed to me just because of the long shadows. It may have been shorts and tee shirt weather, but the days are drawing in and the shadows are long even in the middle of the day. Looking out the window, I expect that any holiday photos from North Yorkshire this week will be more in line with what I am used to.......... better go and pack the suitcase!

A beautifully composed and photographed scene, the addition of the long shadows adding a wonderful blanket of autumnal comfort...

I agree, the long shadows add to the lovely lines. Can't believe that sky for October! I might have cropped it a little to a long letter box shape?

No clouds?
In a Castors landscape shot?
Okay - what have you done with Jeanie?
