Painted Finch (Emblema pictum)

The Painted Finch (Emblema pictum) is a common species of estrildid finch found in Australia. It is also known as the Painted Firetail or the Painted Firetail Finch. It is the only species in the genus Emblema.

It has an estimated global extent of occurrence of 1,000,000 kmē. It is found in semi-desert area, grassland and subtropical (lowland) dry grassland.
