I know that those pictures are not the best but i think they give you an example of the landing skills of those birds.
Atlantic puffins land on North Atlantic seacoasts and islands to form breeding colonies each spring and summer (in this case Skomer island).
The Puffin’s short wings are used for ‘flying’ underwater in search of fish; large wings would be a disadvantage but small wings make flying in air rather more difficult and the birds must beat their wings rapidly to stay aloft.
It is a real joy to watch them, could sit there for hours.
