Sunset Stones

One more from last months meander over the Clent Hills. It was a bitterly cold and crisp evening as the sun sank towards the Malverns.

(I never noticed it before, but someone pointed out to me after this was uploaded that these standing stones bear an uncanny resemblance to cowled monks silhouetted against the light as they bow in prayer to the sunset.)

I like this atmospheric shot. I especially like the sun's rays radiating into to the foreground. Great sky!

I like this very much, then I am a standing stone nut. Excellent positioning of stones, sun and shadows, with manipulation adding to the effect. I could frame this and put it on the wall.

Excellent colours and shadows.

I find this a hard place to get anything 1/2 decent as apart from the stones there's not a lot to inspire.
