Thought it was about time I uploaded another shot... This is Low Water taken back in March 2010 on a cold, wintery walk up towards the Old Man of Coniston. We were actually on a walk from a guide book called "Avoiding the Old Man" but we got a bit lost and ended up at the summit anyway!

If the image looks a bit grainy it's because some numpty, i.e. me, accidentally cranked the ISO up to the maximum 1600! This happened when I was fiddling with settings when we were at the water's edge, but I didn't notice 'til we'd reached the top. It was too late then, we'd covered too much ground to go back... I blame the biting cold wind on my fingers...!

It was amazing to see though. The water was partially frozen in places with large sheets of ice floating about on the surface. We'd walked through several areas of pretty deep snow to reach the top too. Well worth the effort.

Comments welcome as always,

Never mind the added ISO, it adds to the frosty bite of this scene Grin
