Hawes Cascade

By Metalhead
The lovely little cascade of water in the village of Hawes in the Yorkshire Dales, home of the Wensleydale Cheese!

We came back the scenic route from north Cumbria back towards Lincolnshire on our last trip up there in October. This is definitely the scenic route! I'd forgotten how small and twisty some of those roads are up there! Great fun to drive, and lots of gorgeous scenery to take in too.

Comments welcome as always.

Thanks for looking,

Very nicely composed and balanced shot, with the falls being captured so well.

Great image, like how its sandwiched in a border, does make it a lot nicer!
Well done

Thanks everyone. Much appreciated!

Jody, about the sandwiching, after my previous upload I'm making the full use of my 600x600 pixel space! Expanding the canvas to a square shape and keeping the background black does give the image a little more impact.

I'll proably stick with this theme for a while, until I decide to try something else.
