Feedback welcome. Need new inspiration and stimulation. And remember: 'It's not about the camera!'

About Me

Well I have been taking pictures seriously since 1972, and have worked professionally and semi-professionally at times, including for short periods as a reporter/photographer for newspapers and magazines, and as a staff photographer for a charity.

I have a small business producing and selling photo cards, and do a lot of landscape/nature photography. I also enjoy doing portraits in context, i.e., no white sheet and studio lights!

I really enjoy darkroom work, and still shoot mostly on a Pentax 67 II. I also scan negs and slides into Photoshop and then print digitally. I was a faithful Olympus OM user for many years (OM 1, OM 2, and then two OM 4Tis).

I have managed to get published photos taken on a free plastic 35 mm camera, as well as with an 8-year-old Olympus mju. As someone said, it's not about the camera. That plastic camera was also a panoramic format and stimulated my photography more than anything else had for years.

I am about to get back into pinhole photography. Probably with a 5x4 camera I have, using printing paper for a neg.

I now have a Pentax K5 and several lenses.
