Took this the same time as the other horse racing shot but this time I've added some sky using paint shop. Although the horse on the right is 'cut off' exiting the frame I still like this shot as it gives the impression of being right on the course and my eye keeps returning to the visible rider. I hope to do more horse racing photo's as you can get some good vantage points around the course and paddock. Any comments (-/+) is very welcome, especially tips. Thanks for looking.

I think the sky is to strong and its a little obvious it has been added. Like the horse. hope this helps

Thanks Paul, i have to agree with you about the sky, I should've toned it down.

This is really interesting, like the cut off horse really put you in the midst of the action, the sky is not quite right but I like the idea, just needs to be toned down a little

Don't usually go for sporting shots but the composition here is really attractive. Agree that the sky could be toned down but well done.

Sad to say I agree about the sky, but the important bit is your idea on composition. Having the partial view of the 1st horse works well here. It does give you the feeling of being on the track and the horse rushing by you.

You have an interesting take on horse racing so I look forward to your next post.

Thank you all for your comments, i do agree about the sky, I'm glad I'm not alone regarding the composition though (of more importance to me) Mike.

Love the composition with the two horses, it really gives the feel of a horse race, but have to agree about the sky. Good work.
