Apple of my eye

By michaelcombe
Meaning

Originally meaning the central aperture of the eye. Figuratively it is something, or more usually someone, cherished above others.

Still early stages in my portraiture photography, a lot to learn, but with a willing model who throws poses like this without being prompted it does make it a bit easier!

Reminds me of an Elvis song

Great picture

The apple of my eye
With something rare, a peach of a pear
But her dad wont let us meet and I could die

I love petunia the gardeners daughter
Oooh how that gal can kiss
Her eyes are blue as bluebells
Each cheek a rose to see
How I dance when she plants her two lips on me
Im as daffy as a daffodil
I long to kiss her all the time
Tonight Ill steal into her garden
And make petunias two lips mine

(Ive got a beau, I love him so
The apple of my eye
With something rare, a peach of a pear
But my dad wont let us meet and I could die)

And we could die

I love petunia the gardeners daughter
Oooh how that gal can kiss
(my eyes are blue as bluebells
Each cheek a rose to see)
How I dance when she plants her two lips on me

(hes as daffy as a daffodil
He loves to kiss me all the time)
Tonight Ill steal into her garden
And make petunias two lips mine

She makes other girls look just like weeds
(Im gonna be his clinging vine)
Tonight Ill steal into her garden
And make petunias two lips
(my ever loving two lips)
Make petunias two lips mine

This is soooo much better than your previous shot of her.I didn't like the other one as I thought it looked amateurish....but this is much more professional and more interesting to look at. Good colour and you have sorted the background shadow..

Definitely much better. I would have placed the logo lower in this as it does attract the eye due to its position.

Catch lights in the eyes would give it a lot more life, even if photoshopped in using a soft 2 pixel white brush.

Yes and also make sure the eyes are in focus.....you may get a cracking shot but if the eyes are out its usually a waste.
This is the stuff of expensive advertising campaigns, the child has a career in acting, or certainly as a professional child model.
Your work has improved but then I still think the last one was very good indeed, I'm sure there will be many more before you tire out this irrepressible young miss.
