Ocean Motion

St. Mary's Lighthouse at 07:00 today, the light was strange as there was just one strip of light emerging between the horizon and the back of cloud that seems to permanently be around the north east coast these days!

I shoot most of my landscapes at at F/16 @ ISO 50 but this created a much longer exposure resulting in harsh highlights, so opted for a different spproach this time.

Experimenting I guess!

p.s - I noticed at the time that there was a lot of white 'stuff' in the top half of this shot. I thought it may be a dirty filter. Nope, it was clouds - very odd!

Nice image. Just ordered some ND filters and heading to the coast in 3 weeks, so hoping to get some images like this!

Cracking image, I took a shot from a very similar viewpoint on Saturday morning, maybe a little less wet on the feet also Smile - but the light wasnt that great
