    Fabulous shot.

The ruined building stands out well against the dramatic sky. I think I might have cropped out the building that appears at the right hand edge of the image. Otherwise well-composed.

    Dreamy...shades of Elvira Madigan perhaps.

I like the perspective and the processing of the image a lot.

Beautiful portrait; soft light, smooth tones, fabulous eyes...

  • Right Hook

Excellent timing; the low angle isolates the boxers well and adds drama to the shot. Makes me want to get the gloves on Smile!

  • Thanks for nominating Last Port of Call as your favourite of the week. Best regards, Chris
  • Hi Paul,
I've enjoyed looking at your portfolio: some great landscape shots there. I love your part of England - I went to school there and have visited most towns and villages in East and West Suffolk.
    Regards. Chris
  • A truly outstanding portfolio. A pleasure to click on your images.

  • Thanks for your comments on my garden iris shots; I have just taken the opportunity to look at some of your work which I find artistically and technically superb. Your portfolio is nothing short of inspirational. For many years I have been satisfied with taking snapshots - some of which I have been pleased with - but more recently I have decided to delve deeper into the art of digital imaging. Gradually I am learning to use more of the facilities that Elements 5 offers. My latest upload 'Iris of my dreams' was practically my first attempt to think in terms of 'digital manipulation' to achieve a desired result. It is encouraging to get positive feedback from someone like yourself who is a highly accomplished nature photographer. Thank you for that.

    Best wishes. Chris
