Billy Fury was born Ronald Wycherley in Garston, Liverpool on 17 April 1940. He found fame in the early sixties with a string of hits, including, 'Halfway To Paradise', 'Jealousy' and 'Like I've Never Been Gone'. He is one of the most famous stars in the history of British Rock and Roll.

The statue can be found at the Liverpool life museum. It had a very uninteresting background which I have taken out but in doing so I have lost some of the edges around the image. Still trying to get to grips with manipulating images. Nice to see that fans still remember him with flowers.

One of my Favorite Musicians from the 60s. It was a sad loss.

Great Rock 'n' Roll image, Mick. I was there at the unveiling and did a report on the event, which was attended by Jack Good, his TV producer, plus hundreds of Billy's friends and Ace Cafe bikers.
