shadow by davelivesey

Well caught. Probably only happens one day a year, I suppose?

I love the detail in the beak. I wonder if cropping the spare grass on the right side and making it a vertical would be stronger?

Grumpy by AnneB50

My money's on a golden eagle. but I'm not a twitcher, and don't want to be!
But who can resist taking pictures of the little feathered bundles?
Lovely portrait

Just a suggestion, but if you flip the image horizontally, you get your writing the right way around

No question now - I definitely prefer this one, without the distracting circles. Beautifully shot.

Love the fungus, not sure about the bokeh

Brilliant. A view that's been photographed thousands of times, and you found a different way of looking at it.

A wonderfully tactile photo.

Not sure about the poetry, but the photograph says it all

JAWS by footloose

I bet he has fun going through airports!
And whose his dentist - Lawrence Olivier?

Tiny Weevil

Tiny Weevil by KDC

After 38 years at sea, my experience of weevils is that they infest cornflakes (floating to the surface after the milk is poured) or can be separated from Jacobs cream-crackers by banging the cracker's edge gently on the plate before eating. SOP was then to flatten the little beggars with your thumbnail.
But they're stunningly pretty in close up - I can't imagine how shallow your depth of field must have been for this one, but you got it spot on.

The patterns of nature are endlessly fascinating. Lovely shot

Meat Porn - Silly Sunday by Alda

And what exactly is "Meat Porn" - a sausage and big baps perhaps?

This is an impressive portfolio of images. You're getting up and out in the golden hour, and making the most of it. Good for you.

Your "Lift off" photo was what drew me here, but they're all brilliant. Well done.

Sickeningly good. This collection is an inspiration.
