Colourful Climb

By midgemckay
A shot taken of the steps at a Glasgow railway station. Most of the stations here are in cuttings so you usually have a set of flights to climb to get to road level.

The stations are always boring and bland though - France and Spain have some really colourful stations, or at least a mural or two, so I thought I'd brighten this one up a bit.

Using the same steps from "Up the Steps Down", I colourised each flight to either red or blue - the steps are yellow in real life. I think it creates quite a nice pattern of colour. My main hope was that they don't look too false.

I'm sure that there is somewhere in the world with colourful steps like theseSmile

The off-centre-ness was really annoying - I believe there is some sort of magical force that stops photos of these steps appearing right... on 3 different days I've tried every angle and they never look quite right Tongue

Great eye for drama you've got, and colour too. Love this shot. Is it me or is there something vaguely German about it?

German? Never been to Germany, but if their stations are anything like this then it sounds like I'd enjoy it Tongue

Looks a tadge Hungarian to me! But I do like 'The magic steps'.
