Snowdrop Reflection

Snowdrop ReflectionA fine shot Kate
And just a rare ''serious'' thought from me.
Looks a bit ''bottom heavy'' to me and would prefer
a 180 degree flip for the stem coming out the bottom left !!

Hebridean light

Hebridean lightLove the bit of light on the water Ann.
And for that reason,I reckon it works well with the sky cropped out
and leaving a pano' shot at just above the hills.
Just my own personal opinion, but still a super image as it is !!

WatercoloursAnother splendid presentation Kate.
And have you a setting for fill in flash on your Canon ?
If so,you should be able to set it on full,half,I/4 power,I/8 power and so on.
The ''trick'' is to try and make it look not obvious, and at the right setting,it should not.
I do not agree with the,''what's the point off using flash when you cannot see you have been using flash'', brigade.
Flash can look unsightly in an image, but fill in used correctly gives a more natural pleasing look !!
Worth a try I think.

KnapweedLike this one a lot Kate.
My only nit pic is,if it was mine,I would crop a bit of the right hand side.
I just think it is too central in the frame.
(And I will use my brain to think of a title to include the drain !!)
Red Dragonfly - A right little poserA bit burn out at the bottom here Carol,
but the dragonfly is well coloured and detailed.
(Besides,I can live with a bit of burnt out bottom !!)
Spurn - blue skies, golden sand and golden ............................rust !!I know you are not a ''rust fan'' Helen,so delighted to see it on your layers.I think it works very well on the smooth sand to give it a rougher texture.Perhaps not so well on the sea and sky.I reckon any light brown smooth surface would suit a rust layer very well, and any other colour left as it is.If it was possible here,to see the sand, lighthouse and the two posts only with the rust layer, and the blue sky and water left alone, would be a very effective working too.

Girl in Blue

Girl in BlueWhy is that you lot have to do all this jiggery pokery to a fit bird ?
Just leave them alone Alan, and lets see them in the flesh (so to speak !!) No need for the oil painting here. She looks a beauty on plain canvas as she is.Just confine your playing around to the likes of Anne Widdicombe !!

Sunshine & Bee Experiment

Sunshine & Bee ExperimentI like the simplicity of the lattice work in No1,straight from the camera.I feel no PS work is required to make it a more effective image.I do prefer images straight from the ''box''.Good one.
