The lack of bright light doesn't detract from this at all. Good find.

Excellent textures and lines in this close up study Mick and of course two rusty padlocks which are a great find. I take it this one was taken on your route home from a public house as you could not remember the exact location which is most unlike a man of your calibre!Wink

Anotherngood example of a study of textures, detail and patterns, Mick.
Hope you find your way back although I wonder if better light would really give a better shot.

Looks like the grills they used to put over the school cloakroom window's when I was at school, to keep the boys out! Didn't work though as we used to get into the boys' school through the science lab windows instead (with a little help of courseWink).
Have to go now to feed Nick his bread and waterWink

A fine matching pair, Mick, are they twins? You should make a note at the time of taking where it is so you don't forget...when your brain starts getting as rusty as these two like mine it can make it difficult to find them again! Wink

Super subject well taken but as you observed, a bit flat. I wish you'd enabled mods as I tweaked this one. If you want my version, just message me with your e-mail address and I'll send it then delete your e-mail address immediately.

Sometimes flat lit subjects brings out more detail and tone, as is the case here I think.
Well composed with good natural colouring.

The light may have been flat and dull but the detail and colour are great, Mick.

I like the 'T' symbol on the locks. Tony and Tanya? A romantic couple of grotty locks locked in love...

Judging by the condition of these locks, it looks like their owner didn't even remember where they are located.
Let's hope the owner isn't inside, waiting for someone to rescue him.
