Good day everyone,
First a big thanks to everyone for the very positive responses to my Puffin upload yesterday, very much appreciated.

Special thanks go to these lovely folk who felt my image worthy of their awards, I'm chuffed Smile Ali(glenalva) CarolG, David(craggwildlifephotography) DerekL, Ali63 and Ed(glostopcat)

Today an image that will bring back vivid memories to those who have visited the Farne Islands and been attacked by these plucky birds (Arctic tern - Sterna paradisaea).
To those that haven't been, I hope you can get a "feel" of what its like to be dive bombed from this picture Smile Hope you enjoy Smile

A fabulous image Mike...almost like a painting! As you say, their defence strategy is incredible and feisty...understandably! Smile John

A very fine capture indeed! One should try not to provoke these birds, by going too close to their nesting sites ...... Regards Martin

Although the gull is dive-bombing, there is something almost angelic about this image, probably because of the size of the wing span and the bright background. Brilliant capture.
