Fisherman on lake

Fisherman on lakeNice peaceful image, more or less agree with above comments, have uploaded a mod blued up the sky and a slight crop to move the fisherman more to the right.

Shearwater.Always worth getting up early in the morning, overall not a bad photo, just a couple of neg points: not keen on the large stone in the bottom lefthand corner, and for me the colors in the sky seem to be overblown.
Still nice photo.
White Cliffs of Etretat, NormandyI like the overall composition, and lovely yellows in the sky, but yes as mentioned above the sky is a bit over cooked. Maybe a crop to take out the sky, mind you that would leave the very overexposed sun shadow on the sea.
Will upload a mod to show you what I am on about.

Yosemite Creek

Yosemite CreekBeautiful Landscape photograph, I do prefer the b&w version, but only one niggly point which I can not decide on and that is the log. Not sure if it should be cloned out of not (have uploaded a mod with the log clone out) please I don't have to make that decision.

Let me know what you think.
Waiting for the right compositionHi Guy.

You have a great photo here but you need to do some work on the background, I would look at getting rid of it and replacing it, but not sure if you have that facility within Lightroom.

The horses have a beautiful pastel color so for sure keep it.

Morning has broken...(colour)

Morning has broken...(colour)I like the idea behind your photo big open space/sky, but for me it is a case of the top 2/3 great, bottom 1/3 not so. Not sure if you could have moved along so you would not have had to include the grass & bush, or even moved lower to include all the grass and I know it would have had an effect on the view of the lake: but just a thought.

I like color version better than the mono, and not to sure if it is too blue, will upload a mod where I have added some yellow and increase the exposure of the sky, but to be honest I don't think it makes a great deal of difference.

Empty Reflections

Empty ReflectionsNo everything looks to clean and new, But if you look into your shot you have a great street life sort of photo (see mod) the old bloke and the young lad with two bikes. For me that is your shot.
Beside the Seaside in Southwold, SuffolkI like the idea behind your shot, yes ok theres been some kind of with the softness on the right of your photo, but with a crop on the left and a little on the right you have a very nice photo.
See mod, I also added additional contrast & color just a personal thing.

Just wondering do you use UV Filters on your lenses, I always do, it is a lot easier to keep the filter clean than the actual lens. If not then it is worth looking into using one.

Sunset over Rio de Janeiro

Sunset over Rio de JaneiroNicely seen and it is one of these scenes you just have to have a go at, and I think in most part you have got what you were after.

The only neg area for me is what looks like a lean on the right hand side. I am not saying it is it justs looks like it is, have uploaded a mod cropping about a third from the bottom let me know if it helps.
Otherwise great shot with lovely light.

the old cooker

the old cookerOnly thing that spoiled the photo for me was that twig below the cooker (have uploaded a mod with the offending twig clone out) apart from that very nice B&W photo.

Afternoon, Pismo Beach, CA

Afternoon, Pismo Beach, CANice enough picture but you need to straighten that horizon any free basic photo editing software will give you that facility, (have uploaded a mod to show you the difference)
Everything goods well in the shot.

The Koprinka Dam

The Koprinka DamFor me the photo is the line of trees (see uploaded mod) I know my mod is not great but it is just to show you what I mean.

Not sure if you could have moved forward or the distant you were standing away, but the foreground just takes your eye away from the main subject the line of trees. Not forgetting the exposure??

Icelandic Horses

Icelandic HorsesGreat composition, Color, and subject, but feels a bit of fill in flash on the 2 black horses would have help in the overall scene.
As for the Eating of horse meat, I feel it nice when you have the choice in many parts of the world you count yourself lucky to just have something to eat.

Starting The Day

Starting The DayHave uploaded a mod where I have cropped a small area of the foreground which I feel gives it a better balance, also added a little warmth to the scene. Apart from that you have a great composition with the Paddy Fields and the sun, but the actual quality of the photograph lets it down which is a shame because the idea, composition, and the overall contend of the shot is good.

Please help

Please helpWith ref to your focus problem maybe next time upping your aperture (if the light allows it) to around f/5.6 or f/8 it will help the D of F on the Horse face.
Have uploaded a Mod where I have added warmth to your shot.

Reflection of Heaven on EARTH

Reflection of Heaven on EARTHThere is nothing wrong with your photo apart from being a little underexposed, and a lack of subject matter, look at your photo and think how much better it would be with for example having a Fishing Boat sailing along the river or something similar. It is called a focal point it gives your eyes something to focus on and holds the photo together.
Mind you because of the underexposure you got a great looking Sky, maybe just chop most of the lower part of the photo so all you will have will be the cityscape and sky???
31/01/2013 - 9:08 AM

Robin 1

Robin 1Nice enough photo, as far as I can see all you need is to chop out most of the branches, and add a bit of warmed to the photo. (see Mod) you basic Editing Software you got with the camera should be just fine for the job.

Yet another Sunset

Yet another SunsetYou have a nice general sort of Seascape, well photograph and the composition is find. I have nothing against seabirds but for me in this case they do kind of spoil your shot.
Have uploaded two Mods: please note the quality of the mods are not too good, but my idea behind them is to show you that (for me anyway) there are better scenes within your picture. For me photography should be about capturing that scene, not too concerned with how the picture was taken or what equipment was used.
Anyway enough of my opining s, where is Lagoon Beach interesting looking place??.

Lacy Lady

Lacy LadyComposition/Subject, and Sharpness are all great, but (there is always the but) it is a bit flat needs some contrast in the area of the left hand side of the boat. But leave the great Sky alone.
