Good capture of the swan "doing something" - which is so often lacking in others' bird pix. However, your exposure is a bit adrift. No detail in the bird's sun-kissed plummage. Digital is great - but is very like exposing for a slide was in the olden days!! In other words, expose for the highlights - and if you shoot RAW, as you have done here, you can work on the image and achieve a better balanced exposure post capture - which we couldn't do with slides!!

Mike, I love your portfolio. This shot deserves more votes. It's got grace, power and humour. I think the swan's head angle makes the picture -- it's so disdainful !
