Lone Tree

By MikeKnowles
We've had a lot of snow this year in the North Pennines. I moved up in November 2017 and it seems to have been on and off snow ever since. One plus is that I can practice metering for snow scenes!! This spot near Roughside overlooking Nenthead has good potential for shots especially late afternoon and sunset. There are some ruins nearby which make a good focal point too. On this occasion I was out walking the dog and got distracted by the views to the extent that it got dark and I had to scrabble home without a head torch. Long suffering mutt was not amused as it was bitterly cold. I used an ND grad to balance the sky.
