Speckled wood

Hi guys,this is one i took about an hour ago,looks to be lots of these little fellas about ,i think the speckled wood is taken a little bit for granted but what a lot of us dont realize is just go back not really that many years and most species of our butterflies were in Abundance ,just something to think about ,hope you like this one,thanks for the C/Cs on my nessie much appreciated regards

A nice bit of manipulation, Mike, and a well-captured image.
Last year I only saw three butterflies - so far this year I'm into double figures, so I'm thinking positive once again.

I think desaturating the b/g is an excellent way to show the beauty of this butterfly. They're normally very difficult to see properly against the vegetation.

I like the selective colour to this lovely image.
We haven't seen any butterflies/moths at all yet, but keeping a lookout all the time.
