hi guys this is another i took on my walk on thursday,lots of these about now ,they was at one stage on a serious decline in britain due to one of the main factors being to cold on our shores they would migrate to the usa ,or othere warm shores for longer days ,but have started to settle in britain over the last nuber of years,hope you like guys thanks for the C/Cs on my be and daisy much appreciated ,regards

Maybe not the best Red Admirial shot in the world (perhaps lacking some detail and maybe the composition is not quite top notch - dof is limited tending to give a slightly flat feel maybe) but this is an excellent example of how a flawed image can still work beautifully - its presentation is really well worked lifting the image helping to bring back some depth.

I really like this image and I think in part exactly because it is not perfect (Ok you can wipe me off your Christmas Card list!).

Your framing really makes this even more beautiful. We have had a shortage of butterflies here in Maine this year. Probably due to excessive summer rains. Hope they come back.

It is totally artistic in presentation which I reckon is why this works. How boring if all images were "perfectly posed" for only detail!
