tenby harbour and lifeboat station

By Mikelane
Hi guys ,another one from tenby, this time we have the harbour with the lifeboat hous, the tenby lifeboat house station based in pembrokeshire has operated for over 150 years, and today it has an all weather lifeboat ,and an inshore D class lifeboat the smallest in the fleet.

There are currently three lifeboat staions in tenby ,although two are active and one is not, there is a new lifeboat station and slipway to the right of the old one [WHICH IS NO LONGER USED ] and a small boathouse on the north beach.

The new station houses the RNLI's newest class of lifeboat-the tamar, and the boathouse houses the D class.
The new station was the first to receive the tamar class lifeboat .

the current tamar class lifeboat is called Haydn miller after the farmer who left 3m to the RNLI, the current inshore D-class lifeboat is called georgina stanly taylor, just a bit of the history, hope you like ,thanks for the C/Cs on yesterdays upload, much appreciated
Mike ,large is worth looking at if you have time

Great scene Mike; loads of details to study and lots going on and love your composition and the slipway clearly showing how they launch the lifeboats straight into the open sea.
A quick google search: apparently the the monument on top of the hill is a statue of Prince Albert on the site of the old castle watchtower.
