Fly covered in morning dew

By mikepearce
This is a fly that has died of a fungal infection called Entomophthora muscae I came across it while out looking for dragonflies .
A lucky find with both the dew and a fungal infection!
Thanks to ade who identified the infection!
I had no idea it had a fungal infection just thought it was a fly that I had not come across before. So thanks again ade!

Looks like this one had it Mike and is suffering with a fungal/parasitic infecting the exact name of which I can't remember, seen it quite a lot this year though, I'm just damned if I can remember the name of it Sad Cracking good image all the same though....

You've caught the gruesome details brilliantly!

I noticed a lot of this in one small area of the farm this year - the victims all seemed to be Yellow Dung Fly.
I thought it was decked out in crystals, lol cracking shot the dew stands out so well it's a very good macro image.
