Monitor Lizard

I thought I would post something different fo a change, I don't know if I've got the name right.

This creature lived in the foundations of the hotel complex in Gambia, one day I chased it out of the bedroom.
Never troubled by rodents though.

Quite a poser this chap Mike, you captured him well though. There's even more room for some further cropping to eliminate that bright stonework in the foreground. Good performance by the FZ30, nice job too.

Not really Mike, it's not really a bird's haven here given also the very few resident species. Winter landscapes and summer coastal shots is more like it.

On the other hand, if you are fond of architecture and fortifications you have a year-round attraction, mid-autumn and late winter/early spring offering the best lighting conditions for this kind of work.
