Puffin II

I never realised that Puffins live in the ground, but evidently they do, their nests are in burrows, not dissimilar to the rabbits that also inhabit the Inner Farne island. This one just appeared out of the undergrowth!

Puffins often take over disused rabbit burrows to nest in and raise their offspring, but once they have fledged the parents and young leave land and spend most of the year on the open seas.
