Better than version 1 for me because there is more depth and detail to look at, wish I could have been there looking over your shoulder Miles.

My god, this must have been a phonemonal (cant spell that!) experience!! I really must go and stand on that hill early morning to experience the feeling. After my aborted Burton BRadstock trip on Saturday I was planning to go to Corfe for sunset and climb this hill. But I ended going for the easier Kimmeridge option. How do you get to this hill Miles - is it from the small car park at the bottom of the castle hill (by the little road that leads to Kimmeridge)?

Ps, as for the photograph, needless to say I love it. Only a suggestion, but try cropping the grass, so that the image begins at the black bushes. I think by just showing the black bushes, and no grass it improves an already magnificent picture.

These shots are a complete inspiration to me. The absolute best quality.

Thank you everyone for the comments.

Yes Adam, If you turn off towards Kimmeridge, just past the castle is a little 'one way traffic' bridge, and a little layby just past it. That is where I parked, then just cross the road, let yourself in the gate and up the hill. There is often mist/fog there, especially at this time of year, but a lot of the time it is too high, obscuring all of the castle, you never quite know how it will be until you climb up above it. Also, at this time of year the sun rises just to the left of the main tower, so after sun rise you are looking straight into the sun. Thanks for the suggestion, I'll try it.

just excellent, must have been an amazing experience - you might think that the green grass adds to the photo however actually it is (in my eyes) slightly distracting - the shot gets much cleaner if you crop it away as all the emphasis will be put on the essential part of the photo

Another great shot Miles, however, as a few of the other comments, (Adam, Oistein...), I think the grass is distracting, and think a crop would be better.

Thanks for the comments.

Adam. Generally at this time of year, high pressure, no/very little wind and clear nights usually produce fog
