Misty Tree

By Miles Herbert
Was sat on a hill watching the mist rising and falling with the wind when this tree caught my eye.

Love it. Really strong image, Miles. Colour, black and white, gentleness, harshness, no border, GREAT composition, no pets, really moody shot. BTW I like it.

Yes a Red Setter in the foreground would have gone down a treat .He he . It is a fantastic shot Miles and that mist is so fragile you can blink sometimes and its gone but well captured and very special

You're right Mavis. I could just about go for a Red Setter or a Pointer maybe - as long as it was smallish in size. Don't get me wrong I love dogs and especially cats - its just that . . . . . .

Dreamy, wonderfully atmospheric. Composition almost perfect. IMO take about an inch off the bottom. No pets, please!

I'm going to come back another day and try to find something in your porfolio I don't like! lol

You have some very fine images here. This one certainly another that is very easy on the eye. Wink

This is a great shot! Yet only gets 4 (5 now!) votes. I noticed a similar shot right at the start of your page that got 162 votes! Amazing isn't it? Okay that particular shot is outstanding, but what's wrong with this one!?

This also has that excellent mist floating mid-picture around the trees, and framed beautifully by a great sky. I have to say, for one of your early shots, this is simply stunning work, and deserving of more attention too. Yet another lost treasure, simply because folk won't check out a member's earlier work. Well, this is great, and I love it!

Best wishes,
Iain.
