Wow, great shot Miles, love how you have cropped this one, terrific sky. No tourists either ...

Super shot Miles. The sky is wonderful, really makes the shot. Probably the best shot of the henge I have seen. Well done.

I'd agree, this subject is very popular and this ranks with the best I've seen.
I didn't see the original but this looks very nice...Jeff

To die for Miles! What a great shot. You can feel the tranquility & awe of the place.
Is that a Druid flying into the hole in the clouds?

Thank you all for taking the time to comment. This was taken in Autumn 2002, and I made sure I was the first person through the gates, hence no happy tourists in view. The original picture has the stones in the centre of the frame, but I preferred this crop, as suggested by various people a while back. My only regret about this one is that I didn't have my Nikon loaded with Velvia on me at the time.

Oh, and the Druid got lost in the infamous Salisbury Triangle en route.

Great shot Miles, I love the detail in the clouds, the grass seems to have lost some detail, you can see lots of artifacts, probably due to the resizing, is the original the same? hope not.
