I felt that it had more impact with a touch of grain and in black and white. It brings the little boy out more and subdues the yellowish paving.

This is beautifully done. Lovely composition, beautifully caught expression on the little chap's face. Personally I like the b/w as it seems to enhance the simplicity of the shot ..

I know I'm rather late with a comment, but every time I look at your portfolio Miles I get drawn to this shot. I think because of the angle, it's a sort of backstage artists view of the audience and the little boy is so focused on the guitarist. You certainly deserve the EC well done.

Miles, I must agree with Richard - this shot's composition is awesome. I love the facial expressions! The amount of detail form the shirt to the kid is good. Nice shot!

Lovely street scene, the little boy is perfectly placed balancing the photo well. Excellent clarity throughout and great tones.
