trial of faith

By Milla
Morning everyone.

Thanks very much to all of you, for your lovely, encouraging comments on my last uploads, much appreciated. And thanks to Pete for my first HC award, such a surprise, guess I can change my Photographer Level from Beginner to Enthusiast now, lol Smile

About this shot, for a long while I was sure it's hopeless because of its low quality. But I liked how intriguing the shadow of my hair looks here, so I thought it might be worth some time in PS. Oh well, hope it wasn't a waste Smile

Have a good day.

Large for the textures.

Excellent, mysterious and quite spooky.

I'd like to see the shot without the PS effect because it's a great image, i just, imo, don't think the effect works on the face.

A bit of a sensational Alex harvey Band look to this, I like it a lot.

I really like this, especially the colour version which seems more moody and darker. I like the texture too, but the most striking thing is the shadows on your face. Just dynamite.

I think this is your shot best so far, dark moody different, a true Milla shot.

Congrats on the HC, well deserved.

Gorgeous. The colour one does it for me with the blurring and the extra darkness. I like the texture and the way the shadows on your face are echoed in the dress.

Not at all keen on V2 Milla, but no matter as I like V1 very much.

The colours and lighting are very pleasing indeed and the texture overlay on your blouse is superb .... with a look of snakeskin. I'm not sure if you rushed this or had trouble with it but there are areas where it does'nt look quite right to me. The texture on your neck looks smudged and ill-defined, and the texture on your forehead is a little too sharp and prominant for my liking.

Mere niggles though .... all in all a very accomplished image.

The muted colours of V1 is so much better than the bright mono of V2 it adds depth to a powerful image. Tears of a clown came to mind showing my age again

V1 for me as it loses your left arm which doesn't sit well within the image in V2, also the eye is just great in colour.

I prefer version 1 of this gorgeous photograph. Very very smart work with the lighting. Love the treatment. Excellent.

Right, just had a look at v.2 again and realised how ugly it is, so I removed it.
Thank you all very much, for your lovely comments, clicks, and of course for the niggles, all are welcomed and appreciated Smile
Yeah, that's true I've rushed this one a bit, but it happens to me all the time, will try to sort it out when I find some time for this. Smile

Excellent work Milla; a wonderful dark mood; I love the shadow tears and they work well in comination with the dry parched earth effect you've applied
